It’s Friday afternoon, it’s HORRIBLE outside (at least if you’re based in the Northeast), and you’re probably fantasizing about a cozy night in – a hot bath or shower, a home cooked meal, and Netflix. WELL, GOOD NEWS : I have an easy and fast dinner idea for you, and it involves pasta (orecchiette to be exact), and it takes about 15 minutes to pull together. More good news: I am going to be showing how to cook this orecchiette dish LIVE on Facebook and Instagram in about 30 minutes! You might remember that last week, I started sharing sneak peeks of recipes from my upcoming cookbook. I am cooking these recipes LIVE on Facebook and Instagram to prove to you how impatient-friendly my cookbook recipes truly are: there is no editing, no swapping in and out of foods that have been pre-made or whatever, it’s all just THE REAL DEAL.
Last time, I showed you guys how to make these super easy and fast enchiladas; today, I am going to show you how to make a zucchini sausage orecchiette with just 5-INGREDIENTS. And look, I am a lady of my word: This recipe is not like, “you need these five ingredients, plus these 10 pantry items.” NO, MY FRIENDS: This is a straight up, totally legit, 5-ingredient meal (and a delicious one at that).
The secret to this orecchiette recipe’s success is in the sausages you’ll get, cause they’ll do all the flavor heavy lifting and really cut down your cooking/effort time. Instead having to buy garlic, onions, and various spices, everything will already be in the sausages. For this reason, I recommend buying some freshly made Italian spicy sausage (or if you’re not into spicy, just regular Italian sausage) from your local butcher. A pre-made/frozen/packaged sausage just won’t do. Trust me.
I’ll be going live on Facebook and my Instagram Stories about 30 minutes from now to walk you through the whole process. As last time, I’ll sharing the recipe and instructions on FB Live and I’ll also share the recipe on my Instagram Stories, which you guys can see for the next 24 hours. If you miss those two things, well, I guess you’ll just have to BUY MY COOKBOOK.
