Oprah Invited Me On A Cruise. THIS IS NOT A DRILL.

OPRAH CALLED AND INVITED IMPATIENT FOODIE TO BE A SPEAKER ON THE FIRST EVER OPRAH CRUISE, AND THIS IS ME EVER SINCE I GOT THE NEWS:

OK fine, Oprah didn’t call me herself (that’s probably a good thing because I would have fainted), but her peeps at O Magazine did and I AM ALASKA BOUND, people! They asked me to come aboard to do a presentation and share tips on what Impatient Foodie does best: make delicious, healthy recipes with the least amount of work (and dishes!), and the most amount of nutrition.

Pardon my French, but can you f***ing believe it?!?! Because I still can’t! NOT ONLY do I get to hang out with Oprah, but also with incredible humans like Adam Glassman (♥♥♥!), Gayle King (GAYLE!), India Arie (HELLO!), and Angela Davis (YAS!) Seriously, this cruise sounds like it might be the best week of my life: There will be meditation circles, inspirational talks, incredible food (some of which will be made by yours truly!), and even a book club with a O Magazine’s book editor, Leigh Haber and Pulitzer Prize winning author, Elizabeth Strout.  I CANNOT WAIT. (And you can buy tickets here.)

This summer has been such an incredible one so far. Not only did I find out I am pregnant with my first child, my first cookbook came out, and now I get to HANG WITH ALL MY FAVORITE OPRAH FRIENDS AND OPRAH HERSELF. Did I also mention that I get to white water raft down the Grand Canyon with my family for 2 weeks in August?!** This is especially fantastic timing, because Oprah recently hiked the Grand Canyon too so now I’ll have excellent talking points to bring up with her WHEN I HAVE DINNER WITH HER ON THE CRUISE (which is also happening).

If you’re free from July 15-22nd and want to join in the fun, you can buy a ticket here! And please come say hello when we’re all aboard – YIPEEEEEE!!!

**My OBGYN gave me the all clear for this trip, and I am also not the first pregnant lady to raft down the Grand Canyon (much to my dismay).
