Espresso Martini


My friends Matt and Susan are great hosts. Matt always hands me a killer Manhattan within minutes of my arrival. They feed me delicious meals (and even send me home with leftovers — hint hint, Elettra) and then they cap the night off with this crisp cocktail. It’s sweet, but not too sweet, like a good after-dinner drink should be. Good times.


espresso martini


3 oz strong espresso, chilled (about a double shot’s worth)
1.5 oz Baileys
1 oz Silver tequila
1 oz Patron XO Cafe (other coffee liquors may be ok, but will make the drink sweeter than with Patron’s brand)


  1. Shake over ice and strain into two small martini glasses (or one very large one).
